MADISON METHODIST WOMEN

Madison Methodist Women is a fellowship that welcomes all women.  Missions-minded, we strive to support informative, interesting and fun activities that help us grow in our faith while creating lifelong friendships.

MMW meets each month on the 2nd Monday

at 10am in the Sanctuary.

Please watch this page, the Calendar of Events page here and weekly church bulletins for schedule

and program information.

The next meeting will be October 14 at the home of

Peggy Deutch, 516 Sussex Dr, Huntsville, 35824.

We will assemble the Momma Bags for

Upper Sand Mountain Parish.

All women of the church are invited.

Bake Sales

MMW holds 2 Bake Sales each year as fundraisers to support MMW Missions donations to, among others, MUMC Youth Missions, MUMC Pastor's Discretionary Fund, MUMC Missions, The Well House, and Upper Sand Mountain Parish.

School Supplies

Annually, the MMW leads a church-wide collection of school supplies for donation to Upper Sand Mountain Parish in northwest Alabama.

Upper Sand Mountain Parish, a cooperative of 8 United Methodist Churches, serves and ministers annually to approximately 5,000 low-to-no income residents of Jackson and Dekalb Counties.

Momma Bags

MMW members created Momma Bags for women of Upper Sand Mountain Parish.  Coming to seek essentials for their children, ladies are invited to select a Momma Bag for themselves.  Many have never received such a gift and are overwhelmed by this demonstration of the love of Jesus.

What's a Momma Bag?  An attractive and lightly used purse with small items such as a new nail polish, a set of jewelry, scarf, lotion, hair bands, tissues, a new pair of socks - things we might find in our own purses.

Socks!  Socks!  Socks!

In November 2019, MMW led a church-wide collection of new socks for Upper Sand Mountain Parish.  A huge donation of men's, women's and children's socks were delivered in time to be included in the Parish's Christmas presents.
